One thing that stands out to me was Dad's laugh. I can't even describe it, but I still hear it in my head. One of my memories was when Jim, Mark and me dug a hole in his garden and filled it with water and had a muddy mess allover. Well he spanked the boys, but when it was my turn he pretended to spank me but just slapped his own hand. Dad always made me feel like I was special. Maybe cause he knew Grandma L. didn't like me.But I think he made us all feel that way.
